My best friend is my Fiance, Eric.
I remember when we first met how he was so excited to tell me that he lived in Huntington Beach, like I was supposed to know exactly where that was and be excited to know a human who live in HB.
After graduating college and dating four years long distance, I decided I wanted to move to HB. Heck, I was still young enough to royaly screw up my life and bounce back... it was on my bucket list and I did not want to regret a sould'a, could'a, would'a!
Those three years were such a great chapter in my life...
I learned how to live with a person who was not my family... I could be mad at him but had no where to go!
I look back and have such amazing memories with Eric, the bad and the great!
We rented our first place together, became puppy parents, learned who we were, and most importantly, we fell deeper in love...
I am back in HB for work since my home office is located here.
I can't even express how sad I am at this moment... I want to go home.
but not home to Houston, I want to go back to Alabama street and walk up the stairs to our old apartment and hear Cricket and Bailey cry with excitement, and see Eric cooking a wonderful dinner for us.
It was an amazing time in my life, in our lives....
I miss Huntington Beach, but I miss it with Eric in it.
I realize that home is where Eric and the babies are....no matter where that is.
